Large Gatherings

Large gatherings are noisy, and when your hearing degrades it can make it hard to cope with loud situations. It becomes too hard to discern between voices and sound becomes a muddled mess – which is very frustrating.

A gentleman had his family over and the noise was loud to the point of being unbearable, so he went to one of the bedrooms to get away from it. The next week his son told him that his grandson had asked, “why does grandpa hate me?” The man was shocked that his grandson thought he hated him, all because he needed to get way from the overwhelming noise. This was the push he needed to improve his hearing. After he was fitted with hearing aids, he shared how they had changed his relationship with his grandson.  He could not believe he had waited so long to do something about his problem.
